Health Insurance – In Network Providers

April 19, 2008 – 9:07 am

If you have a standard health insurance policy that allows you to see any doctor of choice, chances are, you also have a list of “in network” providers to choose from. This is common on PPO’s.

Your co-payment for seeing an in network provider is usually lower then seeing an out of network health care provider. For example, your health insurance policy may require you to pay a $25 co-pay for doctor’s visits in their network of health care providers but $45 out of network.

Check with your health insurance agent and read your policy carefully to find out what your in network co-pay requirements are.
